Single-Serving Best Chocolate Chip Cookie
Single-Serving Best Chocolate Chip Cookie
1 large, thin cookie (about 5–6 inches wide)
Ingredients:
1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp white sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp beaten egg (crack one egg, beat it, and use just 1 tbsp)
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
Pinch of baking soda (just a tiny pinch, like 1/16 tsp)
Pinch of salt
2 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chips (plus a few extra for the top)
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Mix the Wet Ingredients
In a small bowl:
Melt the butter (microwave 15–20 sec).
Stir in brown sugar, white sugar, vanilla, and beaten egg.
Mix until smooth and glossy.
Step 3: Add Dry Ingredients
Add in:
Flour
Tiny pinch of baking soda
Pinch of salt
Mix just until combined. Don’t overmix — a few streaks of flour are okay.
Step 4: Fold in Chocolate Chips
Gently stir in the 2 tbsp chocolate chips. Save a few for pressing on top.
Step 5: Shape & Bake
Scoop the dough onto the parchment-lined sheet.
Flatten it slightly with your fingers — it should be about 1/2" thick.
Add a few extra chocolate chips on top for that bakery-style look.
Bake for 11–13 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center looks just barely set.
Step 6: Cool & Enjoy
Let cool for 5–10 minutes to firm up and get chewy.
Devour with zero regrets.
